Corporate income tax exemption for Groningen is considered incompatible State aid

Recently Dick van Sprundel wrote a comment on the EU court case dated 31 May 2018, Groningen Seaports N.V. c.s. – European Commission, no. T-160/16. The EU Court of First Instance ruled - in line with the EC - that the exemption for the Netherlands public seaports as of 1 January 2016 constitutes State aid incompatible with the internal market and must be abolished as of 1 January 2017.
